Discover the Future of Health at the 2025 Global Healthcare Week in Busan

The vibrant city of Busan is set to host the highly anticipated ‘2025 Global Healthcare Week’ from April 4 to 6 at the BEXCO Exhibition Center. This year marks the eighth edition of this distinguished event, which promises to be a comprehensive showcase of the health and wellness industry, integrating the 17th International Welfare Rehabilitation Senior Exhibition, the 12th Busan International Anti-Aging Expo, and the 2025 Busan Cosmetics and Beauty Festival into one remarkable platform.

As health management becomes increasingly vital in our daily lives, this event provides an unparalleled opportunity for attendees to explore a wide range of health-related products and innovations. Alongside the main exhibition, the event will also feature the ‘2025 Busan International Medical Tourism Convention’ and the ‘2025 Citizen Health Expo,’ allowing visitors to engage with diverse healthcare content all in one place.

This event is organized by the Busan Metropolitan City, with support from BEXCO, Busan Ilbo, and Busan Technopark, alongside sponsorship from the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy; the Ministry of Health and Welfare; the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups; and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute. Admission is free, and the integrated opening ceremony is scheduled for April 5 at 11 a.m.

Among the major highlights of the event are the export consultation meetings organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), domestic distribution consultations, and a job fair aimed at helping middle-aged individuals restart their careers. The KOTRA export consultation will feature 36 buyers from eight countries, including China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Tanzania, who will engage in one-on-one consultations with participating companies to explore export opportunities.

In addition, the Korea Medical Device Distribution Association will conduct domestic distribution consultations, while the Busan Economic Promotion Agency will provide job counseling and interviews specifically for the middle-aged demographic. Furthermore, nine specialized doctors from local hospitals will conduct health lectures to share their expertise with the public, contributing to community health education and awareness.

This year, an impressive total of 160 companies from various sectors will participate, showcasing their innovations across rehabilitation, anti-aging, and beauty industries. The exhibition will feature over 400 booths, presenting cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence brain health platforms, smart wearable devices, functional insoles, and 3D correction and therapy equipment. In the beauty sector, attendees can expect engaging experiences such as makeup trials and personal color diagnostics, designed to captivate and educate the audience.

Ijunseung, the Deputy Mayor of Busan, expressed optimism about the potential impact of the event, stating that ‘the welfare, rehabilitation, anti-aging, and cosmetics industries are sectors where Busan can gain international competitiveness.’ He further emphasized the city’s commitment to supporting participating companies in boosting sales and exploring international markets, ultimately contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.

The 2025 Global Healthcare Week is not just an exhibition; it is a testament to Busan’s dedication to advancing health and wellness on a global scale. As attendees gather to witness the latest developments and innovations in the healthcare sector, this event promises to inspire, educate, and empower individuals and businesses alike, fostering a healthier future for all.
